On Tuesday, public expenditure minister Jack Chambers published the review of remuneration of chief executive officers in commercial state bodies by the senior posts remuneration committee (SPRC).

The review found that new arrangements would be needed to get the best candidates for those CEO positions, with Mr Chambers saying it was “clear that the State may not always be able to attract the best candidates for these critical positions under the current process”.
