Brian Barry-Murphy offered Cardiff City manager role, but Leicester may block move

The 46-year-old Cork native was installed as Ruud van Nistelrooy's assistant coach at the turn of the year, with the King Power Stadium side under serious relegation pressure, which was realised with their Premier League trap-door exit.

Cardiff City are in talks with Leicester City over the possibility of bringing Brian Barry-Murphy to the club relegated to League 1 last term. 

Current Leicester assistant Barry-Murphy, who spent a number of years in the Manchester City coaching structure and has previously managed Rochdale, has agreed to the role, according to WalesOnline.
